A House Made of Each Other is a public sculpture and temporary shelter that interprets a linguistic concept as a physical place. The installation probes the evolution of human alphabets—tools designed to compress infinite information into discrete characters—and their transformation within the contemporary digital fabric.

The structure is a modular aggregation of approximately 1,000 interlocking pieces, fabricated from reclaimed HIPS trimmings. Thirty contemporary hieroglyphs are repeated in a rhythmic, obsessive manner to compose a porous membrane. This geometry reflects the shift from the 140-character hardware limitations of the early internet to a ubiquitous, para-alphabetical language.

In an era where image transmission is effortless, the emoji has surpassed the need for classical recoding, becoming a globally understood symbol of presence.

By translating the intangible warmth of a "family chat group" into a tactile architectural site, the project explores the feeling of "home" within digital proximity. It is a metaphor for a collective domesticity, where our contemporary symbols become the very bricks and mortar of our shared social reality.
