ANATOMICAL SKULL

Project Type: Medical Model / Functional Prop / Anatomical Sculpture

Materials:  3D-Printed PETG, UV Resin, Embedded Neodymium Magnets, Lacquer Finish, Stainless Steel Stand

Keywords:  Modular Anatomical Layering, Interactive Education, Digital Sculpting to Physical Fabrication

Client: Private

Project Date: 01.2024

Size: 250x220x270 mm

This bespoke didactic model is an anatomical prop designed specifically for a medical clinic to assist in explaining clinical and aesthetic procedures to patients. Translating complex facial anatomy into a tactile, interactive object, the model maps out the distinct layers of muscle, fat pads, and soft tissue surrounding the human skull.

The workflow integrated digital sculpting with additive manufacturing. The structural base was produced using 3D-printed PETG for durability, while high-detail muscular and adipose tissue elements were fabricated via 3D-printed resin and finished with targeted lacquers. Embedded neodymium magnets allow individual anatomical components to be seamlessly removed and reattached, enabling medical practitioners to demonstrate step-by-step subcutaneous injections, structural depth, and facial procedures in real time.
