 A “curio” is a small, rare, or fascinating object that is collected for its uniqueness, oddity, or aesthetic appeal rather than for practical use. The word is a shortened form of "curiosity" and is often used to describe antique trinkets, knickknacks, or unusual souvenirs.

Curio: Victoriei Cabinet is an architectural installation and spatial intervention designed for the IQOS Boutique on Bucharest’s iconic Calea Victoriei. Reimagining a signature neoclassical facade as a modular "cabinet of curiosities," the project translates the street’s rigid historical heritage into an interactive narrative object.



The installation scales down the city's architectural fabric into a multi-layered, low-relief facade equipped with illuminated window niches and balconies. Nestled within these openings are translucent blue 3D-printed miniatures of Bucharest landmarks alongside human figures, creating a tactile "topography of belonging." By blending neoclassical ornamentation with modern fabrication materials and dynamic lighting, the cabinet presents Calea Victoriei not as a static historical site, but as an evolving urban landscape driven by discovery and contemporary energy.
