Pulp is a design object which came by as a result of a critical inquiry regarding the terminal nodes of the paper recycling industry.

Rather than addressing "waste" as a generic category, the project performs a deep-tissue analysis into established waste management pipelines, identifying a specific anthropogenic byproduct: cellulose pulp rendered obsolete by excessive wear and chemical contamination.

The sculptural artefact cristalises products of an “industrial archaeological practice” into rhythmic, modular geometry. Utilizing a plastic vocabulary of repeated arches and internal metallic structural tension, the stool manifests as a physical archive of "exotic" matter—material that exists only as a systemic failure of the circular economy.

Through a process of structural casting, Pulp transforms this non-recyclable residue into dense, monolithic slabs, reclaiming the rejected fiber from its trajectory toward the landfill and repositioning it within the domestic ecosystem.

The resulting object aims to establish a dialogue between the body and the hidden residues of global production, challenging the design landscape to look beyond the surface of "green" narratives and into the raw reality of the recycling apparatus.
